The John Howard Society of Hamilton Burlington and Area, Hamilton Police Services and our Community Partners are pleased to announce that the Hamilton Youth Drug Diversion Program (HYDDP) recently received generous financial support from NEWALTA , Canada’s leading industrial waste management and environmental services company. HYDDP is a very successful youth drug intervention program that has been operating since 2005 in the Hamilton community.

David Lane, Executive Director of the John Howard Society of Hamilton, Burlington and Area, says that NEWALTA’s investment in our community will support the on-going success of the HYDDP in “Making A Difference” in the lives of young people and their families.

Mark Rutledge, Senior Business Manager with NEWALTA is pleased to partner with the John Howard Society of Hamilton Burlington and Area and Hamilton Police Services to help enhance the Hamilton Youth Drug Diversion Program and says “substance abuse is a serious issue in our community and the impressive rate of success of the HYDDP in helping steer our youth away from drugs and alcohol is to be commended.”
